Product Description
The Copper Canyon 6 is a great cabin-style design for a 6 person tent with its vertical walls maximizing comfort and livability; ideal for the use of cots. The floor area is 100 sq ft with a center height of 7’ making this a great amount of space for 6 people! The walls are made of 75D poly 1200mm and 68D poly no-see-um mesh. The fly is a 75D Stormshield polyester 1200mm. The frame is 16mm/12.7 fiberglass + 19.5mm steel. This spacious and sturdy tent will allow the whole gang to hang out, stretch out, and sleep well.

By dcdude
I bought this tent as a replacement for a Eureka Sunrise 8, which my wife says was too small for our family of four with kids 3 and 5. First off, this tent is COMFORTABLE. I'm 6'3" and I had no problem standing inside. The walls are nearly vertical, which creates very good useable space inside, suitable for cots even. The four of us slept in a row across the back and there was still space to stand inside the door and in the front corners for some gear. The downside of these tall, flat walls is that the tent acts a bit like a sail in a breeze. This wind pressure made it a bit hard to zip the door shut when we had this tent set up on a beach. My recommendation is to pitch it so one of the back corners is pointed straight into the prevailing wind. This may serve to "split" the wind a bit, or at least avoid some of a broadside breeze. For a tent this size, it couldn't be much easier to put up. Instead of two super-long poles, there are four moderate-size poles which connect at the top corners. This makes them all easy to handle, so someone of average height shouldn't have a problem pitching this tent. The roof poles go through sleeves, but the run seems much shorter than on the Sunrise. This makes the poles easier to remove without hanging up inside the sleeves. When you take it down, the roof area stays mostly flat and square, making the whole thing easier to fold. Quality is the usual high Eureka standard. Major seams are taped at the factory. The structure seems quite strong, and perhaps slightly overbuilt. The same 16mm fiberglass and 19.5mm steel poles from the larger Copper 8 and 12 models are utilized here on the 6 as well. As an added bonus, it is quite handsome to look at. The colors are nice and the design is very appealing. The downside of these strong steel poles is that they are HEAVY. The poles are the heaviest part of the package, which contributes to making the whole thing tip the scales at 23 pounds. This tent could possibly work for backpacking if you split it up into 4 separate packages, but I don't think that anyone would actually do that. In summary, this is a GREAT tent for a small family to use car camping as long as it's not too windy. My wife likes it and I don't see how you can do much better. I recommend it!

By ncCOPPER
Ordered this tent and it arrived with free shipping in 3 days. Set up was a breeze (10-15 min) right out of the box. As others have mentioned it is a good idea to purchase addtional tent stakes. The ones that come with tent are sub-par. It is also a good idea to set it up and use some seam sealer on all the stitched areas prior actual use. I used the tent the very next weekend at the lake and it was all I expected and more. I placed a tarp on the ground under the tent before set up. Our spot had some small gravel but we swept and raked most of it away. We used the tent for 3 nights right on the water. We had a couple of thunder storms pop up each night, never did rain but the wind picked up alot. The tent never wavered one bit. The tent is large enough for 2 adults and 2 air mattress, we use 2 single one. Without the mattress it would probably be rommy enough for 4 people but no more. The interior height is great, I'm 6'3 and had no issues. I hope to get many years of use out of the tent. Happy camping in your COPPER CANYON tent !!!!Eureka Copper Canyon 6 -Person Tent

Ok, so I bought this tent after reviewing several. Me and some friends took it camping shortly after I received it. The first night, it came up a thunderstorm. I'm talking a real gully washer! The whole night it rained and stopped that morning. I am VERY impressed!! Not one, I mean not one, drop of rain got in the tent! We stayed dry as a bone in the desert! We did put the rain cover on top when we set up the tent. Smart choice since the storm hit us that night. We had tons of room for four adults and an eleven year old. I am absolutely, positively, satisfied with my tent! I can't wait to use it again!
